19th Century Superbly Crafted Brass Cannon Tube Model of 3” Ordnance Rifle
19th Century Superbly Crafted Brass Cannon Tube Model of 3” Ordnance Rifle – Expertly designed and crafted, some time in the mid-19th century, this cast brass cannon tube appears to be very similar in appearance to a Civil War period 3” Ordnance Rifle or 3” Parrott Rifle. The heft, patina and crafting process indicate that this tube was cast or turned some time either during the Civil War or shortly thereafter. This is a fine example of a war era cast model of a cannon tube; it is seemingly capable of being fired. Barrel measures: 8” in length.
