Civil War Period Tinned Basin

Civil War Period Tinned Basin or Bowl -This is a typical, medium-sized, tinned sheet iron basin of the mid-19th century. All sections are joined by lead solder, as was the technique prior to the ability to machine crimp. The bottom of this basin is flat, as well, also indicative of earlier design. A basin like this would be a great addition to either a Civil War camp or medical grouping. It remains in great condition, with some surface rust on the interior.  The basin measures as follows: Diameter (top edges) – 12″ x Depth – 3.5″ SOLD
