Civil War Period Traveling Trunk with Excellent Original Interior
Civil War Period Traveling Trunk with Excellent Original Interior – This typical leather covered wood trunk dates to the 1850s to early 1860s and is in overall good condition. The leather covering is about 80%+ intact, with most of the original, decorative brass button-like disks still in place. The original, decorative fabric interior lining is almost totally intact, as well. A nice period paper shipping tag for a Baltimore hotel remains affixed to the side of the trunk. This would be a great addition to a Civil War officer’s camp effects.
