Early Civil War Holster Configured for the M1860 Colt Army (Sold)
Early Civil War Holster Configured for the M1860 Colt Army – This rather unusual holster may possibly be an early Gaylord contract product. The holster is distinctively contoured to fit a M1860 Colt Army revolver; it has an unusual integral flap that closes via a brass finial. The original end plug remains in place. The belt loop is also unique as it is sewn to the body of the holster at an angle, not straight up and down as most holsters of the period. The condition of the holster is very good, with almost all of the original finish remaining; the leather is supple and strong.
Measurements: Length – 14.25″; Width of Uppermost area of holster – 4.25″.
