Model 1840 Federal Musician’s Sword - Model 1840 Musician’s Sword manufactured by Ames. This sword is dated1862, and is in overall excellent condition. The leather scabbard is fine, with the exception of a clean break, just above the scabbard tip; this can be repaired. This is a good example of the M1840 Musician’s Sword with a desirable early war dated blade.
