The albumens were printed from Matthew Brady’s original negatives; Brady used these original images in his “War For The Union” series. This iconic image is of three Confederate soldiers captured at Gettysburg. These scarce studies retain overall good quality tone and detail and are similar in format to Brady’s gallery card photographs.
