Original Civil War Boots with M1859 Spurs
$650
Original Civil War Boots with M1859 Spurs – This pair of war period boots remain in overall good condition; they do exhibit some period wear and very minor nips to the back upper area of the left boot. Both boots retain their original, interior fabric pulls. There is an old repair to the side area of the left toe box. The soles are nailed and sewn to the boot bodies, with period reinforcing tacks at the exterior insoles of both boots – this is a feature that we have encountered in several of the issue brogans we have had. Each boot is lined with calf or goat skin in the knee areas; both toes are square in configuration; the heels are the war period Cuban style, stacked leather variety. Attached to each boot, via what appears to be by more recent, buff leather spur straps, are original M1859 enlisted man’s spurs. The boots measure as follows: H – 14”; L (from heel to toe) – 11.25”.
