Confederate Georgia Excavated Georgia Frame Belt Buckle – These simply designed belt buckles were an accoutrement mainstay for many Confederate soldiers. The oft-used descriptor “Georgia” is derived from the large number of these plates found in the state of Georgia; in truth, many of these plates have been excavated throughout southern, Civil War camps and battlefields. This excellent example remains in fine, dug condition.
