Early Civil War Confederate Belt
$750
Early Civil War Confederate Belt – These belts are occasionally seen in period images of Confederate soldiers; this bridle leather belt has two thin, front closure straps that go into two, iron, horseshoe shaped, small buckles; additionally, sewn to the belt are two other iron, horseshoe shaped buckles for the attachment of a shoulder strap. The stitching mode and configuration is comparable to many examples of Confederate, leather accoutrements. The belt remains in overall good condition, with some minor finish loss; the leather remains flexible. This is only the second example of this type of Confederate belt we have had.
