Federal Regulation 1839 Pattern US Waist Belt Plate on Original Belt – This belt plate and belt are excellent examples of an early war infantry accoutrement. The plate has the early so-called “puppy paw” studs and remains in excellent condition. The belt is pliable and retains most of its original finish; the soldier, during the period of use, trimmed off the standing loop keeper.
