Model 1851 Cast Brass Civil War Officer’s Belt Plate – This M1851 plate is a strong example of a Civil War, cast brass, officer’s belt plate. The plate retains a war period used patina and has not been cleaned. The laurel wreath extends above both of the eagle’s wingtips, usually indicative of an early war issue plate.
