1869 Register of the Confederate Dead Hollywood Cemetery Richmond with Foldout Map – This rare book is entitled “Register of the Confederate Dead in Hollywood Cemetery”. It was published, in Richmond, by Gary, Clemmitt & Jones, in 1869. The book has paper boards or covers, which remain in relatively good shape, with one small front corner piece missing; the contents pages are complete and in good condition with some areas of minor water staining and foxing. The original fold out map of the Confederate section of Hollywood Cemetery, remains, also indicating the location of the commemorative, stone pyramid, designed by famed Confederate engineer, Captain Charles Dimmock. This is the only copy of this rare work we have encountered, outside museums and the Virginia State Library.
