Large Clipped Point Civil War Period Stag Grip Bowie Knife – This mid-19^th century, clipped point knife remains in excellent condition; the grip is constructed of stag horn, riveted via small brass pins to the tang; the pommel is an ovoid shaped disk made of thick, brass pinned to the grip; the cross guard is S-shaped, with decorative flutes in the center of the cross guard – small spheres are at both ends of the cross guard. The knife’s blade remains in superior condition and does not have a fuller. This is an excellent example of a pre-war to war period, large side knife.
