Colt Manufactured 2nd Generation Walker Revolver in Mint Condition – This second generation Colt Walker was produced by the Colt Firearms Company sometime in the 1970s. This superbly crafted Walker has never been fired or even disassembled. A six-shot, .44 caliber revolver, the pistol has a 9” barrel, with a silvered, front sight and brass, square-back trigger guard. The revolver’s serial number, 2936, is stamped on all major parts of the gun. Stamped in the side of the barrel, just above the wedge screw, is the following:
“US
1847”
The walnut grips retain all of the factory varnish, and the iron elements retain virtually all of their original bluing or case hardening. The cylinder scene depicts the Texas Rangers battling Indians. The Colt Manufacturing address appears on the top of the barrel:
“ADDRESS. SAML COLT NEW – YORK CITY”
Colt Walkers were amongst the largest and most powerful, black powder revolvers ever manufactured. The original M1847 Colt Walker was produced as a collaborative effort by Samuel Colt and Texas Ranger Samuel Walker.
