General Officer’s Hat Cords – Indian War Period to Spanish-American War

General Officer’s Hat Cords – Indian War Period to Spanish-American War These regulation, general officer’s hat cords were designed for use on a campaign hat; the regulations stipulated that the cords were to be constructed of solid gold bullion thread. The acorn tassels and cording are characteristic for the period of the late 1870s to the 1890s. Both sets of cords remain in nearly unused condition, with little to no noticeable areas of fraying; the color of both cords remains vivid and not faded; the netting around the acorn shells and center slide remains in excellent condition. These are the first of these rarely found General officer cords from this time period that we have had. Price per cord is enumerated on the photo of the cords.
