Fine 1/6 Plate Ambrotype of a Confederate Enlisted Man in a Depot Jacket – This ambrotype is in great condition, with some minor lacquer loss on the back of the image (easily painted in with a fine brush and black model paint) – with the black paper behind the image, there is absolutely no disruption in the image whatsoever, and only slight when pulled out of the case. Interestingly, the bottom button visible on the soldier’s jacket appears to be significantly larger than the other buttons – perhaps, a field repair. The image is housed in a complete case; the cover part of the case has separated from the part that holds the image – again, an easy repair. This is a clear and high resolution image of a Confederate enlisted man.
