Model 1860 Civil War Issue Colt Army Revolver (Three-Screw Type)
SOLD
Model 1860 Civil War Issue Colt Army Revolver (Three-Screw Type) – This pistol, with its all matching serial numbers of 116396, was manufactured in 1863; it is cartouched with the Federal inspector’s stamp on the left grip, as well as inspectors’ letters stamped on some parts. The pistol remains in overall fair to good condition; its mechanics and functionality are fine. The surfaces indicate some obvious wear and some pitting, exhibiting a gray, aged patina. There does not seem to be any remaining cylinder scene. The recoil shield and butt strap are cut for the use of a shoulder stock. This gun is a decent example of the Colt M1860 Army, used extensively by the Union army during the Civil War.
