Civil War Handled Shaving Mug with Original Soap Dish Insert and Shaving Brush – We often encounter Civil War period, tinned, sheet iron, shaving mugs but rarely do we find any with their original soap insert cup; this mug retains its original, tinned, sheet iron, soldered, soap cup. Accompanying the mug and the cup is a genuine, period, shaving brush. War period shaving brushes, as this example, have a rounded, wood handle, with the brush bristles bound, via multiple, encircling,  twine wraps. This war period shaving set remains in excellent condition.
