Original Civil War Period Pack of Burnside Carbine Cartridges – Unopened with Original String

Original Civil War Period Pack of Burnside Carbine Cartridges – Unopened with Original String – This is the first unopened pack of Burnside carbine cartridges that we have had – these packs are extremely difficult to find intact and complete. This pack, as enumerated on the labeled front of the pack, contains 10 Burnside cartridges and 12 caps. The printed label reads as follows:

“10 Cartridges

BURNSIDE

BREECH LOADING RIFLE.

Patented March 25, 1856

The pack retains its original string retaining tie; the pack remains in overall very good condition, with a minor seam separation on either side.
