Early Indian War M1874 Enlisted Man’s Belt, Belt Plate and Civil War Period Cap Box – This belt, plate and cap box were together when we obtained them from an old collection, now being dispersed. The belt and plate remain in overall, very good condition, with some minor crazing and finish loss; the cap box, the rarer, “US” stamped variant, is in good condition, retaining both belt loops, although missing any of the original lamb’s wool, affixed to the interior. These early, Indian War belts are now getting markedly more difficult to find.
