Original Civil War Federal Regulation 1^st Sergeant of the Artillery Chevrons – This pair of rarely encountered Civil War, 1^st Sergeant of the Artillery chevrons remain in near unused condition. The bright red, worsted wool taping, comprising the chevrons proper, retains vivid color; these chevrons are attached to a blue wool field, via red thread, partially hand sewn and partially, treadle machine stitched. Civil War artillery chevrons have always been difficult to find, especially those of a 1^st Sergeant.
