Group of Souvenirs from the 1907 Tri-centennial Exposition for the Founding of Jamestown – This is the best and most complete group of 1907 Exposition Souvenirs we have seen; this grouping is comprised of several rare souvenirs that we have never seen before. Included in this grouping are the following: red clay pipe (with reed stem) in the form of the original church on Jamestown Island; glass paper weight with image of a native American, the three Jamestown bound ships and the exposition site in Norfolk; a rare, Jamestown “Tercentennial” ladder badge; a gilded, sheet iron badge, featuring a native American, celebrating the Jamestown Exposition of 1907; gilded metal, watch fob, attached to a leather strap for watch attachment; a Britannia napkin ring, inscribed with “JAMESTOWN EXPOSITION / 1607   1907”; a brass coin, commemorating the tercentennial; a leather wallet with a gilded impressed stamping: “1607 / JAMESTOWN EXPOSITION / 1907”; contained in the wallet is a small booklet entitled: “A FEW FACTS About the JAMESTOWN EXPOSITION to be Held at HAMPTON ROADS and NORFOLK, VA.   April 26 – November 30 / 1907”; a small tree trunk or branch made into a desk letter holder with a plains, Native American teepee painted on it, as well as “Jamestown  1607”.This is truly a fine archive of rare souvenirs from the 1907 Jamestown Exposition. All are in excellent condition.
